I located an adapter on line at a place called Edisons (could no doubt buy them elsewhere I imagine) for about 40 bucks.  This allows me to use my CTEK on the bike.  Thought somebody else may have the same issue and looking for a fix so took some pics for info.  Seems to work very well and had an inbuilt charge indicator, not that its needed as the CTEK has one anyway.  Saved me wasting the charger I have and having to give HD some more cash.  I could have disconnected the HD one if I wanted but it was fitted when the bike was new an is well and truly wrapped up with all the other wiring.
