Got to agree with you there steelo.  If it was good enough to post at the time you should leave it up.
I have made some  posts  after a few too many refreshing beverages that made me cringe the next day but fuck it !
In this particular  thread I dont think it matters cos it has been hard work trying to  follow anything. I gave up a while back.

I must confess I don't understand why some members after going to the trouble of drafting out a cogent and reasonably thought out post, very quickly delete them.
I have been known to do it in the past where I didn't make any sense, was a dickhead or have caused offense. As a general rule, I now let my comments stand.
It does sometimes make following a discussion thread difficult.

Yes, I have deleted posts also (for much the same reasons as you cite) - but it is very rarely. I do know of a particular member who does this quite regularly - not sure why, I think people should stand by their comments & position.
And yeah, it makes it frustrating in a forum when we get a "quote source removed."

I noticed you have already edited your original post. The latest one is just as shit.
I suggest you delete the lot.

Not pointing or accusing anyone BB. Just a general observation. There's no rule against it and under T's and C's of the forum, you still own your own words.

I don't think this post should become a sticky one.
Sounds like people have been snorting Peruvian marching powder to me.

Freelance journalist Claire Keenan is reporting today that the start of this shit fight was “the letter was written by friends of the (deceased) woman, and had originally been sent to Penny Wong and Sarah Hanson-Young”.

Jeez this thread is a trainwreck.

Did anybody notice how this Christian Porter thing came about? The (deceased) woman’s friends wrote a letter to labour and greens politicians. From there, those with axes to grind set events in motion.

I’m no misogynist but I don’t think many of those particular female politicians’ views represent the majority.

Anyway sorry for staying on topic

Imagine having Penny Wong and Sarah H Young on your case if you have a penis.
    Not going to end well.

Hard to know which post you mean but I saw previously the letter was shared with the PM, the AFP and Louise Milligan. The point I was trying to make it that it was FIRST shared with Penny Wong and Sarah Hanson Young before others. That tells us something about the motivations involved and events thereafter

The AFP was used as a spectacle as it could never do anything given the sexual assault was a state offence the AFP never had jurisdiction for and investigations of offences against dead people never progress.  And the oxygen thieves who pushed this already knew it had been investigated by the appropriate state policing service.  The report of the matter to the PM was to put pressure on him for something that never had a solution. All political point scoring

Both are South Australians. Interested to hear how these two get elected in each cycle. I can understand how Wong might get elected but wtf is happening in SA when SHY gets elected? And multiple times? Is it another product of the shitty preferences system or what....

Because I’m posting about two female politicians I don’t like. Trying to make it clear that I’m not against females or all female politicians; just not impressed with the two I named

Thanks for sharing. Porter absolutely lost out. Some other interesting tidbits but spending further MPs’ and Senators’ time, and any further resources on an inquiry, would just add to the time and money already wasted. They should just get back into the business of running Australia and stop with all this shit that’s really not going anywhere given the lady is deceased.

Personally I reckon all sides of politics should be prioritising further efforts to combat covid. Vaccination is one issue. Treating covid as a federal border and immigration issue is another that should see the commonwealth take responsibility for quarantining travellers in dedicated facilities with dedicated staff, and move away from the half baked hotel quarantining system the states are operating in isolation of each other.  The tourism and hospitality sectors in some places are still haemorrhaging

Umm not really sure about the motives behind this editorial.....you are of course aware of the association between the author and the woman who first received the "letter", the Honorable Member Ms Penny Wong... perhaps a coincidence?

Yesterday i posted this...."Rather than cryptic be specific...my interpretation of his past was that he was not particularly viewed as being "Female friendly" in his views and behaviors. Do you have anything extra that may sway that view."....
That was your invitation to steer me towards something that i/others may have missed.

Thanks for the links i did read through them although the last one seems to be a subscription only article. There was certainly no smoking gun evidence, to me anyway, that made me change my initial phrase of appearing to not be "Female friendly". Regrettably being a despicable person in life is not a crime but having private schooling and powerful friends appears to be according to one article offered for consideration.

Magnum there has never been any question in my mind that he is not well liked and perhaps even despised by various people or groups. Furthermore i stick with the not "Female friendly" tag. The articles you kindly provided are for the most part cut and pastes of each other so i was aware of those claims.
