final time moving home

    Nah thanks. I started with boats in 75. Navy weapons mechanic & ships diver Vampire & Melbourne. Comercial (construction, demolition survey & recovery salvage) diver 12 years &. 9 & half years at maritime college running rigging & seamanship section. I know about half doz skippers of fishing boats Ive trained that live there. I have a 12 mt comercial boat lic. Ive owned a few boats during my life from tiny tinnies to 40ft ocean going yacht. If I pick up any work driving boats around Flinders that would be nice. But now at 61 Im a bit over boats as a hobby. Still like to snorkel & kayak for dinner with mrs. Time for us to drink well eat well crayfish, abalone & urchin roe plus bush tucker wild pig & wild goat & pheasant & cape barren geese. Hunting is great there game reserves throughout island. for those of you tax minded geeks Flinders island is a "special zone" when it comes to income tax ?

    sounds like you have it all sussed, good luck with it all
    personally, I'd like all the food but for the abalone, I find it tasteless only for what it is cooked with, yet many people like it,

    IDK ? I fucked up bad in high school. I only completed year 8 before I began getting into trouble everywhere. The roughest school chucked me out. The cop sergeant gave me the choice. criminal life & jail or defence life ? So with falsified docs at 14 & half years old I joined navy & 12 months at HMAS Leeuwin in fremantle . Shit that was tough. No As or Bs required with me. So at 14 I was a member of the defence forces. Never had a normal teen years. No bombing around in cars & that sort of fun shit. More info if required. cheers

    I am an experienced " boaty " myself.   The first boat I bought was a 12 foot tinny, kept that big girl for a couple of years and then progressed to a Quintrex 500.   
    That is the end of my experience with boats.

    I have a mate on Flinders, we grew up on King, if you need mechanical shit fixed you will probably come across the big fella.

    sheltered yep. From the real world ? Finished my navy career with 63 days in the slot (Holsworthy). Came out with great respect from army MPs running the show. They asked if I wanted time in the army. I said mabey. So after 18 months in Rhodesia & angola working with remnants of shotgun Charlies crew & a company owned by Maggie Thatchers son I returned (before I got into real trouble over there) & did 6 years in Aust army as Infantry Battalion small arms fitter.
