Had some lowlife steal my helmet off the bike one time and bought one of those (or similar) to get home and the wind noise around your ears at any speed is really tiresome, not to mention the potential damage to your hearing

    Cheers, Will

I have one similar to the second helmet on the top row, I wear it around town, have worn it once on the highway 36k trip out to point Lowly.

I had no issue with wind noise, I would normally wear my full face but my sister was wearing it on the back of the wife's bike,
I don't have a issue with the helmet or the lack of it, I find it comfy in town

I reckon they are really good looking helmets and would really go well with your highly modified harleys. I have three ( two full face and 1 open) still in the cupboard , but  will consider one of these when the others are stuffed.

In my younger days i was told "it is a twenty dollar helmet for a twenty dollar head"  I wore Shoei open face helmets for many years until a guy introduced me to a Shark convertible, i'm a convert, this is the most comfortable [to me] long distance helmet i have ever worn, bit goofy but good.

    Cheers.

Those brain buckets look okay but you have to have a certain shaped head.
I've got the Johnny Reb Burke and I reckon it's a good middle ground in the looks vs effectiveness department.
I've got an original easy rider stars and stripes metalflake helmet I wear on occasion.

Pauly, the one on the right would have been bought in the mid ninety's, the one on the left was bought in 2011. despite similarity in the picture the newer one is a lot larger than the old one,,yes i understand the later one will comply with later rules in construction,,, look at yourself in the mirror i looked like Darth Vader.
And yes Pete, certain brand helmets suit certain shape heads, i bought my first decent helmet in the seventies from the old J N Taylor's/Carcycles. A guy that worked there helped me choose the right shape for my head and i have stuck with it till i got the Shark about ten years ago, with this thing you can turn your head 90° at high speed and it does not try to tear your head off. You could say i never looked back.

    Cheers.
