Do any of you Sydney guys have access to Newport (Northern Beach region) and could check out a bike
I have a bike I want to buy and have put down a deposit,
I want a bit of piece of mind that there is no scam, I would rather lose the deposit than the whole purchase price
I woke early this morning with my mind racing that how easy one could pull off a scam with the current lockout

PM me and I will give details, Phone ect

Soapbox , I'm not in Sydney now.
That area has been in lock down, but from reports they have it under control. just not sure what restrictions in place right now. but could not get into the area a few weeks back as was closed & residents supposed to self isolate . ( not  strictly enforced ) more to do with trust.

The lock-down is still in effect, but can be accessed for "work"
I have a couple transport company quotes, they can go in, but 3 to 6 weeks for delivery
    I can pay then

Hi Soapbox, when I bought my shovelhead sight unseen from Melbourne about a year ago the bike transporter agreed to call me when they were there to pick up the bike and confirm there was an actual bike there to pick up. When I got the call I did a direct deposit into the sellers bank account and they could see at once the payment as we both used the same bank. The seller was comfortable with this set up and the transporter was happy to oblige as well. Plus I really like the bike, happy ending.

    That was my plan also,
I don't bank with the same as the seller, yet the deposit was near instant as the wife was talking to him on the phone
