    I'll bet they love you.

Did you knit those outfits for them yourself steelo or can you buy them off the shelf at Humiliate Your Pets R Us?

If I may be so bold. Get another tank Rick. That one’s toast. Thousands lying around mower shops. I’d make the effort if it was a bike tank. Ask around.

You still learned something. Not a complete loss.

Hi rk. Thx for interest. Got as far as welding up the plastic handles, repairing the belts and using hammer/pick thing to straighten out blades when a fellow contacted me via gt.
I now have a Suffolk (same family) 12” in the stable to join the fleet. That one came with 3 spare engines, some spares and a catcher.
I tidied that one up, checked spark plug, air filter and swapped out dodgy zip starter from a spare engine. That one is brilliant condition and the one I use to do my little lawn. The Webb is going to a mate.

Sorry to hear you hurt yourself RK. Get a socket wrench driver attachment for the drill and you can turn em over using the drill. They also come in handy for sharpening (backlapping) the reel and bedknife where you use grinding paste on the blades and run the reel in reverse. Plenty of YT videos on how to do it.
Don't go overboard with the resto if the engine still has some power. Prolly just need fresh fuel, plug, new air filter (or reoil filter) lube the chains and sharpen the blades.
Can paint metal bits but they lose the "patina"
    Post some pics. Good luck

Don’t know if you fellas interested.
My shitty b&d battery whipper snipper wasn’t doing lawn justice and goes flat after less than 5 mins. The fellow who I got the Suffolk had razor sharp edges on his lawn. His solution was fitting nylon twine on angle grinder. No guard so the twine is longer and can go anywhere.
I tried it and got down low with the grinder. Did a sensational job on my small lawn. Glasses and gloves mandatory.
    Pics before a sweep up.

Steelo, I dropped by today to say hello but I could see you were busy mowing the lawn, Just took a quick photo and left quietly as I did not want to interrupt you.

It did motivate me to mow my lawn when I got home though.

Got a couple of carbies here for you mower type guys if they are suitable. Got no branding or numbers on them but someone may recognise them. 5/8" bore with cable slide, remote fuel bowl. Free to whoever wants them; just cost postage from Riverland SA.

    Cheers, Will

Well our lovely neighbors of 21yrs have donated their trusty Honda HRU 194 mower to us. This mower was purchased new in 1985 and other than 1 service including blades is still going strong. 36yrs old and starts first pull of the cord. It runs that well i will keep it and give it some tlc and pass my 5yr old victa on to my son in law.

LOL dont think i am that keen. Its remarkable that this old girl still chugs along so well after the lack of maintenance. May even see if i can steal a w/shop manual online and treat the old girl to a pampering......it may never run again after i am done though.

Obviously a long overdue oil change would be first up - what amount is in there & how black?
