Fatbob foot peg position

Bought my late brothers 16 Fatbob and rode her today for first time. Loved it all except the foot peg / brake pedal position. Felt like I was reaching too far, foot kept sliding off, and the riding position gave me a back ache in short time.
Anyone else feel the same about their Bob’s?
Will definitely have to change that setup, not sure on mid mounts of running boards.
My last Harley was a 96 Fatboy and I lived it. Very easy and natural peg position, and easy running boards. Didn’t like the lack of clearance the running boards gave me and I was constantly scraping them. Older now and just happy to cruise along.

It’s not the seat. It’s got a sundowner seat and it’s great. I’m 6’2” do not short, just hate the peg position. I think I will pop into a dealer and talk different peg options

As an option, you can use the kit below to bring the foot controls a little closer to the rider.

I also have a FatBob but am much shorter than you, so I went to the mid controls from a StreetBob initially, and now have the forward mids from a Low Rider.
Cheers,
Fat Rob

How much difference did you notice?

I fitted these to another Harley - not a Fatbob and found that they dropped the peg about 1/2 to 1 inch down which made a difference for me. Ask the dealer if they will fit yours. Part number is 50401-09A FOOTPEG MOUNT

Gary, firstly, sorry 'bout your brother , falling frim the twig, secondly love the motorcycle left to yo.
I bought a new Fat Boy in 2006, and ended up curling some s/steel rod, which i inserted under the floor boards as was wearing em away, corners and stuff.
Now I have a Road Glide and looking to come on down ta Dyna,
Maybe be we can talk if your after a cruiser. a real cruiser ?
