Hi Guys, just a quick one...If anybody in the forum has a Revtech engine mounted on a stock hd or custom bike,I'd like to advise of the time bomb effect those engine have.
As they were meant to be High performance engines one would assume that they can take almost anything(obviously to some extent...)
The following pics are what happened when you hit them hard and suddenly drop the revs. The lifter block let go probably due to the block's poor casting material. The  Revtech engines is,I'm pretty sure, they were made by,or for,"Custom Chrome inc" in the "Good ol' US of A"and manufactured in Korea. However no one does spare parts for those engines...Finding a lifter block for this one was "almost" impossible, however upon observation, they are identical to the EVO big twin! and the hydraulic lifters as well!
To avoid a similar problem,if anyone owns a Revtech engine,I would suggest to swap the lifter blocks to big twin Evo ones..just in case. If anyone is looking for a custom bike it might be an idea to stir away from Revtech engines. S&S or Screaming eagles might be a choice if you are after reliable donkeys..

U C , they were always a very cheap nasty motor . Rev Tech was just in the casting on the motors, they were anything but performance motors & very cheap to buy. at that time was a lot of cheap frames cheap rev tech gear box's, most put into custom builds just for show.  not built to race or ride long miles. just stating facts. in fact I saw someone once dyne a rev tech 100 cubic inch motor & as it came could not make as much HP & TQ as a stock 80 cubic inch EVO

I have heard it said that if you fill them with lead they make a half decent tinny moring....
