To the contrary my friend....its a proven fact that the worlds biggest Aphrodisiac is a Amex Black credit card....it makes the most unattractive look extremely desirable.

I have been following this one for some time with a degree of interest....seems RTA have pissed the wrong dude off here.

Cops need to focus on real issues.
I don’t understand why they’d pursue the owner of the plate.
Here in SA and I assume all States, if the plate is approved, the owner would easily defer action to the Registrar of Motor Vehicles who approved and took the dollars for the plate. When I look at the terms and conditions of my RATBOB plate there is no condition of that it must not be offensive, that’s catered for in the approval process.
Anyway, when I read the plate I didn’t pick legopener, maybe I need to drink champagne.

    1 offensive interpretation......
Its an  interesting debate regarding the fact that we prefer one persons version of "Offensive" over another. This is the bizarre world we now find ourselves in where the perpetually offended somehow have more traction over those who find more important things to divert our attention too.

Yes very interesting and I for one would like to see him win even if for no other reason than that it it put some dickhead in their place and stop them forcing their opinions on others.

Does remind me of a news article I saw many years ago about plates that had been applied for in QLD but were knocked back for various reasons. One in particular I have always remembered was 6ULDV8, apparently if you say it with a Kiwi accent it makes more sense.

    Cheers

I dunno, but it seems in NSW you go to this website
and you can design your plates.
It appears they don't check everything for suitability, and leave it to the cops to sort out.

I tried LGPONR and it just says it is unavailable.

Just saw on the 6pm news that the cops have removed his plates from the car - good to see our tax-payer funded police force are tackling the big issues... FFS.

Bloke’s registration was cancelled in November and let’s all acknowledge he’s not exactly the shy type who doesn’t attract attention

Bloke’s registration was cancelled in November and let’s all acknowledge he’s not exactly the shy type who doesn’t attract attention

The RTA were instructed to re instate the rego after he won the first case. They were arguing the incorrect stature and as a Barrister he bent them over in the first case and their case was dismissed. At that time he still had the plates in his possession never surrendering them. The RTA has since refiled the case this time using the correct stature and claiming claiming the plates were offensive. The Barrister has appealed that decision by RTA and the appeal was still pending but the RTA used their power to order the police to remove the plate. I personally dont care if he is the biggest tosser in the world, he earned his money and as far as i am concerned he can spend it anyway he chooses and if that includes a legally authority supplied number plate good luck to him. Lets push back on the snowflakes who are faceless and unaccountable who make these stupid calls

Number plates that insinuate "leg opener" but don't actually spell it out properly have no offensive merit fyarsk me.
Why would anyone worry about such trifling matters?
    I must be an idiot.
Why is this one suspect(the wine label), I have not got it yet?

I do take a slightly contrary view. At a moment in time, the bloke managed to put one over the authorities and he's been laughing about it ever since. He's now been caught out after I guess someone complained.
If a court doesn't find it offensive using today's standards, he should get them back but not just because they were approved in the past.

Exactly.....and if bloke wasn’t such an attention seeking fuckwit he probably wouldn’t have this drama. He likes all the drama though

Who are these "offended" snowflakes? They should be required to stand up in court to put their case.
    What other plates "offend"?...
    CHARMER, SHAGGER, SNIFFER, WOMBAT...?
    Funpolice in action.
