Softail rear shocks removal help appreciated

    Rick use a short ringy and hit it with a hammer, works every time, if you want to torque it back up to spec you will need an adaptor, buy one or make one or ft it.

    when i want to loosen softail shock bolts / nuts i take th bike out beside th shed & lean it against a small embankment on a slight angle to give easy access, then swap around to do loosen other side, then wheel back in & onto lift to take off completely......easy & safer

    I would be real careful on where you use the loktite on that job mate.  
    I tried to adjust the hieght of mine but lying on the ground with a mirror is fucked so the next time I needed a new tyre I  asked the mechanic to jack it up to the max.  Glad I did cos its a fuckload better like that.

    It was adjusted too low when I bought the bike. It was hitting the bump stops all the way from Newcastle to Wollongong . I thought that was just how they are but after a couple of weeks of smashing my spine into the ground  I decided to lift it .  Best thing I ever done.

    For next time u can get a special spanner(tool) which makes it a lot easier
