The story so far - Back on a bike after 20 odd years. Bought a BMW K1200LT which was comfortable and handled great when on the go but it only lasted 3 months as it had no soul and no smile on the dial.
Got a 2008 Fatboy which I gotta say just felt right. Anything over 90/100 kmh was a battle though. Living in the country, most of my rides are highway speeds and around 4 hrs round trip so a windscreen was ordered. It took the thump off the chest but Jesus the buffeting and noise! At times I was getting blurred vision from the shakes.
A bit more reading and the fork mounted deflectors were fitted. Can't believe the difference. Heaps less noise, no buffeting, and best of all, now I can hear that exhaust note at pretty much all speeds. If anyone's thinking about them, they get my vote.

First things I put on my Deluxe were a Windvest screen and lowers. No brainer.
