Was just reading the article about the Indian bagger that won last years series. Min weight is 283kg , the bike makes over 170hp at the wheel and 203nm of torque . They lean them to 60 degrees, no electronic aids like traction or ABS. They have timed the bike at 2.4sec for 0-100kph, thats Moto Gp times and quicker than factory superbikes. What a beast.

Yeah read that too PB. Very interesting, determined to put HD in that round, with a huge bucket of money, technical work, and  Indian scored. Well good on um. Reminds me of that ‘picnic Choc add ‘Indians!’

    You know you want one.

Don't know about bus racing, but don't knock the very similar truck racing if you haven't seen it. Pity it's no longer run, but it really ripped up the circuit surfaces.

In the end they speed limited the trucks to 160kph ....was some pretty serious trucks running both here and in Europe.

I remember watching truck racing and it had the allure of watching paint dry to me.

Well do you want to come up to Qld for some painting races?
That's the problem living in a 100+ year old wooden building.

Actually, the race I'd like to see is pillion racing. It's not that crazy an idea, sidecar racing continues on after all. Bagger racing with passengers!

Just read about how they have developed the current winning bike for the series. That bike now makes more than 200hp with over 230nm of tq and ran thru the Daytona speed traps just over 290kph. Ten motors rotated thru the two bikes  changed every 80minutes of practice/race pace and the transmission every second race. The really good news is that a current Australian Superbike champion has recently departed his team "To follow other opportunities overseas"
My guess is Troy Herfoss will join the series but not sure if its on a Indian or a Hd....stay tuned.

Well Obisteve, I would like to see police motorcyclists race at Bathurst for 1000klm like the cars but in fancy formation like the following picture. You know cop teams from all countries. That would have to be entertaining, wouldn't it?
