I have just finished building a custom HD, using a softail frame from VPW and a Rocker engine, transmission, etc. As the frame is new I have to get the bike certified. The problem is I cannot find anyone in the greater Sydney area to certify the bike. Any advise or help would be most appreciated

I just googled it and found this which includes a list of certifiers, no good?

Thanks Mate, I have tried nearly everyone on that list and they either don't reply or don't "do bikes at the moment"

Jeeze that’s pretty poor, did you call the VSCCS number?
I’m thinking if the Government has mandated a certification system they need to ensure the availability of services. They might give you some alternatives.

I agree if the Government forces us to comply, they should ensure that the services are available. Good idea to call the VSCCS number, I am going to do that now.

Hopefully they’ll take a common sense approach. Let us know how you go. Cheers

I have to say, I would never start a custom bike build without knowing I didn't have someone on board to certify it
for registration. I've heard too many horror stories .

Yep, having a certifier on board from the get go is one of the VSCCS recommendations. Hopefully Mark can get it sorted or he certainly will be disturbed 😡
