2016 softail slim seat on a softail standard

    Dunno, fatboys have two rear bolts on the seat, your softy the same? Slim seat only has one bolt, if it is off a slim s they should give it to you cause that's the worst seat I've plonked my arse on.

    If you do go the reupholstery route you can buy gel insert mats of various thicknesses on eBay, might help the lepera become a bit more arse/distance friendly?

    I don’t think 2007 onward twin cam seats fit on pre 2007 softails so your purchasing options are more limited. 

    For the 2007 onward softails, some had the 200 rear tyre, some had the skinny rear tyre and some had the fat 240 rear tyre. All require different seats too. 

    The barebones are a good looking seat but not comfortable. The gel makes a little difference but you’d never want one for any serious touring. To make it properly comfortable I’d suggest a whole heap of reupholstering work would be required to the extent it wouldn’t look as good as intended.
