Only got to have enough power to overcome friction up!  Having said that, many are surprised how quick and “nimble” the ultra’s are through the twisties. The foot boards prevent me from dragging my knee when I ride.

Same with the Street Glide Steelo.  I am surprised how well such a big and heavy bike corners.  Took it inland from Lorne on Deans Marsh/Lorne road through some very decent twisties the other day and had a fair crack at them.  Surprised how it went through the bends!  I couldn't get the fat boy to behave that well through the corners.  Maybe because of that big wide rear tyre.

Having said that, I cant get my knee down like you do though steelo !!!

"Maybe because of that big wide rear tyre".
Agree, those big fat wide rear tires are a silly idea.

bit the same I like the 240 280 back end after that it looks clumsy
would be a good topic " what's it like to ride a 300 plus back tire"

So, short story long... January the Mrs and I moved from Melbourne East Suburbs to our little miners cottage in central vic.
I took 6 months off to get the house liveable and have now started an adult apprenticeship as a locksmith (I'm 38). I have worked factory and office jobs for 20 odd years and as well as being out of Melb, I wanted a job where I didn't go to the same place every day.
A mate moved to Beechworth area at the same time and moved from one office job to another, he is complaining he is burnt out, and I told him all he has changed is where he sleeps, that's why you're burnt out.
He replied "Well at least I'm making more than $600 a week"

I asked him where he was sitting to eat his tin of tuna?
Because this is where I sit most days to eat my ham sammich!

money is not all, don't know your or his business but how is your life, if you are good, then he has a problem
$600 a week, in an office job and is burnt out, soft, and moves from one to another, cant be much good at what he does

    be happy with your choice

i'm still looking for an electrician (operator/maintainer) and it pays more than $400 a shift

It's just the Harley bar. Should be okay for a stationary drop but not much more.

It was one of those Tassie winters days today.
Quite cool, but no wind and sunny.
Could not help myself, took the shovel out for a bit of a run.
Pictured on the Huon river just out of.......
    Huonville.

On Tuesday, I met member Wade Wilson on his new Pan America and mate Mick on the Rocket 3 at the Bridgewater CFS station in the Adelaide Hills. Wade led us on sensational roads via Mt Barker and Meadows to Strathalbyn where I hoped to catch up with Spook. Alas he was home with a dose of the trots and couldn't join us. We had lunch at the bakery, headed back to Adelaide via Meadows (again) and Hahndorf on the windy Bull Creek Road. It was raining as we approached the city but we got home safe.
