Dover coast road last Sunday, took the Shovel out for a bit of exercise.

Nice fc. It’s not only the bike that gets a workout. Cheers.

Nice one GM. Reminds me of this one I saw in 1986 just north of the Grampians somewhere, heading to Horsham I think.

    Sure isn't Steelo.
Same bike yesterday, sneaking home the back way after a wild afternoon tea party. Way too many Earl Gray's and Orange Peko's, scones etc to risk it on the bitumen.

Just looked up this place on the typewriter with a television attached to it and it seems the graffiti rocks are the "Sisters Rocks" near Stawell (vic).
Looks like none of the 1986 graffiti is on em anymore!
Probably got priceless aboriginal art underneath it all somewhere.

Just around Avoca Victoria, I live in a small town not far away from there.

That's exactly as it looks now, I drive past there at least once a week for work. Keep meaning to get a pic with my bike there.

Haha, should be plenty more now we are free for a bit. The old 88" is a bit of a slug but it plods along real smooth-like.

I would not be worrying about the 88, 103, 110, or even the 131 or whatever they are up to now stuff.
Can honestly say I enjoy my 80cu shovel as much if not more than my stage 4 whatever it is.
Fuck! any motorcycle is way better than a long walk.

I can't disagree with that logic FC.
Honestly if it had more power it would lose the big luxury barge manner it has about it!

Only got to have enough power to overcome friction up!  Having said that, many are surprised how quick and “nimble” the ultra’s are through the twisties. The foot boards prevent me from dragging my knee when I ride.

Same with the Street Glide Steelo.  I am surprised how well such a big and heavy bike corners.  Took it inland from Lorne on Deans Marsh/Lorne road through some very decent twisties the other day and had a fair crack at them.  Surprised how it went through the bends!  I couldn't get the fat boy to behave that well through the corners.  Maybe because of that big wide rear tyre.
Having said that, I cant get my knee down like you do though steelo !!!

I agree there, far, far more agile than they look and it shocked me the first time I punted it over the Dandenongs!
