As above.
What?
Didn't realise tyres were manufactured for markets dependant upon which side of the road you drive - road camber dependent.
Thats why i am confused here...to look at the tread of any bike tire they have identical sipes or grooves on both sides. Most cruiser tires are a dual compound with hard centre section for longevity with softer edge compound for grip
Pauly, the running flat (area with no tread) is actually offset to the LHS of the Commander III touring tyre.. in LHD markets the road camber lets the tyre run on the ungrooved section.
I had a real good look at one when this came up and i cant see any difference between the grooves on the left vs right side of the tire. What sort of offset are we talking about here
Didn't measure it mate, guessing 6-7mm, much more obvious in the hand than an online pic shows. Can't tell now, groover fixed it.
Just turn the tyre around 180 deg so that the offset is on the other side??? this will also help with those bikes that are heavier/wider on one side and may eliminate your having to lean the other way while riding your lop sided harley????
good job dicko...now i know why my shorts fall down... its my bloody wallet, i'd better lent it to the wife for a day.
Moths!!
