clear plastic timing plug

    Need to check timing on my 84 FLHX and am looking for one of those clear plugs that screw into the timing hole, does anyone know where to purchase one in Australia  Thanks

    And when doing the timing dab some 'whiteout' on the timing marks.  Way easier to see them.

    That timing window was always a waste of time.  Take the center plate off your primary cover, align the appropriate timing mark in the timing hole and put a slash of marker between the two back engine primary bolts on the inner cover and a corresponding mark on the alternator rotor and time the ignition through that cover opening.
    On some models the rotors were marked from the factory with two slashes 45.°apart on the rotor already suggesting this method was also used by the factory at that period of time.
