6 speed transmission case (96cu up) in an 88cu tourer.

Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone knows if there are any issues in fitting a later model 6 speed transmission up to an 88cu drivetrain. I'm strictly talking tourer drivetrains, different from dynas and softails.
I'm aware of the swingarm pivot size difference (but should probably refresh year differences and sizes) and the internal oil routing difference which can be overcome.
It's more things like bolt pattern at the trans from an 88cu inner primary to the transmission, any issues that can't be overcome in the inner primary with clutch hub and front comp setups etc)
Thanks guys.

The inner primary won't match up for a start.
Also most of the primary drive is a total mismatch .

So the bolt pattern of the Trans case definitely changed when it went to 6 speed?

I stumbled across some good info this morning that I hadn't found previously, looks like it's definitely a no go for a number of reasons, primary spacing and length being some.
Ah well.
I'm currently looking for parts and later model transmissions come up way more regularly from bikes being parted out then 88cu trans cases.
