Two new electrical gremlins. Anyone had these issues?

Mate have you plugged her in and got an error code? Vehicle speed sensor (Vss) could be playing up is another possibility. Code will help I reckon. Vss is cheap to replace

Check the TPS as its basically a variable resistor and collects dirt on the idle to 1/8th throttle.  A spray with Contact Cleaner should fix for a week, but they are not expensive so replacement is best.

Little red warning light to the right of the speedo needle spindle. Guessing it's on because the brake light is stuck on.

Couldn't be arsed disconnecting the lappie and dragging it outside but fault codes retrieved through the odo are a mix of old and new, with a couple indicating an ABS to BCM communication issue. Idle dropping when wheels stop turning may be related.

The bike is booked in for Thursday, if it fucks me around again after this it's gone.

Tech identified a banjo fitting on the rear brake as the cause, bike's been in the shop just over a week waiting on a new part.

    Dual brakes Smokey?

The brake light is stuck on, so it's not safe to ride.

That’s good and bad to hear. Nothing better or worse than dueling banjos!

Sounds like a good tech mate. Stick with him. Which shop?

Sun City HD Townsville. We'll see. Picking it up Monday, the brake problem is fixed, I half expect the idle to still be playing up. Another 300 shekels.

Should be spending my money on whores, I'd be riding more and spending less.

"the brake problem is fixed, I half expect the idle to still be playing up."

Bingo! Seems to have been a breakdown in the chain of communication regarding the idle problem

I'll be replacing the throttle body seals and IAC solenoid next.

Frustrating, it's not uncommon for a workshop to forget a second issue explained to them.

Aaand a few rides later the idle problem reappears. Two days before I'm supposed to ride it to Adelaide.
