bike re-registration in VIC

    HI
    I finally pulled the trigger for this bike. 


    It will be shipped from NSW unregistered and I will have to register here in VIC. For me it looks like a stock header and a VH slipon (maybe a stage 1).

    Do you think a silence muffler will help me get pass the VICROAD inspection? do I need a full set of stock pipe? Is it strict atm?

    The pipe should be V/H straight shot slipon.

    Nice bike mate! Love springers!
    I had some standard mufflers off a touring bike I could've given you but I threw them out when I moved house.

    Depends who does the roadworthy.
    VicRoads won’t care when they do the inspection.
    The independent tester might.

    I bought a bike from QLD and had no issue getting it roadworthied with aftermarket slip ons.

    Happy to share who did the RWC

    The Roadworthy is the kicker.... They will do an audio test on the pipes and take pics etc.  So you nice quiet stocklike baffles.  
    Vicroads do not care at all really but they will look the bike over perhaps, so leave the quiet pipes on until thats all ddone.

    A RWC can be done in many places and some are more strict than others. The big issue is this: Being an interstate transfer the bike may require an id inspection which can only be undertaken at the vic roads pits. If required they will see it had aftermarket pipes will be noticed even though you’re not there for roadworthy purposes. Get a stock exhaust. Plenty second hand cheap ones popping up all the time on gumtree and eBay
