Looks like it's coming from the base of the pushrod tubes, but there is also oil coming out of the filter and spattering onto my saddlebag.
No, it's not overfilled - halfway up the dipstick. Until now it hasn't been using any, it only has the oil in that the dealer put there at the first service.

EDIT 24/08 - Turns out the oil was coming from the filter after all. Reoiled it a bit more sparingly this time. At least it cleans off easily

    Straight back to the dealer!

Yes. First I have to eliminate the possibility that it's coming from the air cleaner, which was a bit over oiled and has shed the excess onto my saddlebags. Although that looks unlikely to be the culprit because the angle is all wrong.

Generally the filter oil is a red color.

That's right, and this wasn't. The oil that I wiped from the underside of the filter was.

    That sucks.
Hopefully the dealer will sort it out.

    look around the breather bolts.
My S&S dual sucker used to leak once first time installed. The leak sent from breather bolt to engine fin then oil filter. looks like leaking from oil filter at first.

I checked the breather bolts when I took the filter out to clean it. There was no sign of any oil in them.

Cleaned and oiled the filter yesterday. No more spatters on my saddlebags yet. I had a look around the base of the pushrod tubes and found a spot in between that I missed when I cleaned it all yesterday. Swabbed it to see what kind of oil it was:

    Yep, it's pink,
So the oil is coming from the filter after all. That's a relief.
