I am thinking of adding this to the garage.

There is a lot in those two posts.  The Harley I will dealer up for the first two years then do most of it myself.  Thanks for the KTM comment steelo.

Enduro/Adventure riding can cost more especially in consumables (Tyres, chains, replacing damaged parts, oils/filters) especially when riding in muddy and dusty Terrain.
I honestly miss Enduro riding but can’t afford to hurt myself again due to work and body getting tired. If you enjoy it...do it!

1090 is a serious bit of kit. If you’re planning some adventure camping/touring off road, then absolutely! If Just want the enduro bit, then go something smaller, like their 690? Mate has the older 1050 and has racked up Over 50,000+ trouble free Kays.

My son started all this off with him and his mates buying 400 enduro bikes, road registered for the small travel sections between the trails.  They load them light for overnight camping and go find a beach that is only accessible via four wheel drive tracks.  They all ride short boards so are trying to figure out how to mount a surfboard to the side.  That is the next challenge.  I tried my son's Honda but it was a bit small for me, and I would want to load up with enough stuff to get away for longer and go further involving sealed roads for some of it.  So I started of sensible and looked at KLR 650's, which went out of production in 2018, not too much money but also a little limited if you want to tear it up a bit.
Then one of my mates bought a KTM 790.  I started looking at KTM's.  I haven't ruled out a 790.

You’re talking my language. Had DRZ400 years ago (road Perth to Ayres Rock and back via Gunbarrel Hwy, plus heaps more off road trips). Then 650 Husky, same type of riding, but now gone soft and ride a r1200gs lc. If I could afford it I’d definitely get the 790. Look bloody awesome. Jack of all trades and still master of off road!
