Still plugging away at my COVID lockdown/ Cancer surgery recovery deluxe.

Fitted my exhaust the other day, shotgun shock is on its way so that’ll be next then bars when hopefully I can ride again.

Big Steve, love the colour mate. Good luck with the recovery. Watch them pipes pulling out of driveways, best mates got the same pipes but slightly shorter and scrubs easy if not careful, but they sound and look great.

Yes they look low in the pic but once I have my shotgun shock installed ride height will be a higher than where it’s current sitting but I’ll still have to be careful.

They are some long pipes - would keep the noise well away from your ears.

Bike colour is a nice rich dark.

They are just loud enough without being abnoxious.
The colour completely changes in the sunshine when you can see the metal flakes.

Dropped my flake off to the painter today, Paint Huffer fifty fifty.
I couldn't find the right one via PPG. Either a little too subltle, or too thick.  The mix of 50/50 .04 and .08 flakes was bang on.

This 750four covid build of mine is going agonisingly slow. Mainly due to waiting for parts to show up from overseas. Anyway finally got the cylinder block on this arvo. What a testing job to do by yourself, the 3 piece oil rings are a real doosey!. Would have been handy to have 4 arms. Now waiting for 8 inner valve springs to show up in the post before the head can go back on.
Talking about lots of arms, remember this old chestnut?
Guy walks into a bar with an octopus under his arm and sets it on top of the counter. He says "Anyone that can hand this octopus a musical instrument it cannot play, I will give you $5,000." The first person hands it a trumpet. The octopus takes a look, then spins it around, looks at it then proceeds to play it like Louie Armstrong. The 2nd person brings it an acoustic guitar. Again, the octopus checks it out, spins it around, checks it out again, only to strart strumming it to the likes of Eric Clapton. The 3rd guy brought up a set of bagpipes and the octopus shows a bit of interest. He grabs ahold of it, spins it around, spins it around, checks it out, spins it around, spins it around......After a while the 3rd person says "Obviously this octopus has no clue how to play the bagpipes." The octopus breaks his attention from the instrument and says to the man "Play it? I'm going to fuck it once I can figure out how to take it's pajamas off."

Finally buttoned up this motor this arvo.
Now just have to put the rest of the bike back together.
Lost count of how many times I have said "FUCK" out loud so far, but happy with it all when all is said and done.

Got my shotgun shock installed. It was surprisingly a pretty easy job, the worst part was removing the OEM shocks. ABS makes it more fun, would be easier on a non-ABS bike.

Very happy with the ride quality, specifically being able to stiffen the ride at any height.

Also went with Yellow running lights.

Dropping her off at my mechanics to do the install of my apehangers and new cables/lines. (I don't touch brakes/abs) this week and hopefully order some new wheels as well.

There was only the f1 or f2.  F1 single front disc. F2 daul disc. At the time u could either have the k6. 4 pipes. Or f1 about $1600.  Exhaust header diffrent between f or k series..  The next f boldor series were twin cams
