Now I’m not entirely sure if it’s an Australian company, all of their gear is made overseas but in this day and age that’s how it goes.
I was looking for a leather jacket that had a vintage feel but wasn’t a bloody Brando jacket.

Blackbird do a bunch of cafe racer style things but cover a fair few different styles, stock comes from Sydney and was 2 days to melb.

The jacket I got was the Duke jacket, good heavy leather, soft armour in back and contact points. Aged brass zips n clips. Was $599.

In all it’s a really nice jacket, sleeves are a bit longer than a regular jacket so it doesn’t leave your wrists exposed, unfortunately only has a 1 way zip so it’s zipped at the bottom, leather is soft but thick, stitching is really nice, in all really quality.

The big drama? Their sizing.. I am the perfect ‘average’ sized human, 5ft 10, 78kg, 33 waist. I’ve been a medium since I was 15 years old, 30 years on I haven’t changed much.
I measured up and checked their chart ‘what, no that can’t be right’, so I ordered a medium (a small in US sizing), it was like a tent, it went back and they sent a small (xxs in us), it’s a good size but to be honest I would have been keen to try an xs if it were available seeing leather will stretch out. In all, I love it though, beautifully made, well priced and styled differently to anything else I could find.

I'm the same. Have to test fit before buying. Went looking for a new leather jacket this morning and ended up heading home pissed off. What's the go are the animal rights mobs infiltrating bike shops now?. Seems to be a very limited number of jackets around, tons of textile ones on offer but I'm not a fan of them.
