If 8 change the pipes from the magnaflow bandits  to a set of freedom performance  radical radius, both are baffled, will I need to change the tune?
Is it as simple as just downloading the software, and selecting a different set up?

Nope...swap away.  Generally no need to tweak the tune for a pipe swap.

Cool. That makes it easier, as my laptop is dead.

I disagree, it can depend on the bike and the difference in pipes, ie stock pipes to S&S mufflers say on a Twin Cam Deluxe will make it too lean and backfire something horrid.

I will be taking off magnaflow bandits, and putting on freedom performance radical radius pipes. Both are 2-2, baffled short style pipes.
If I change them, and take it to the local stealership,  about how much would it cost for a refresh/re flash of the tune? Or am I better off,  finding a laptop and doing a smart tune myself?

Generally stage 1 tunes(usually just makes it run a little richer) are the same for each model with the same engine, swapping pipes and air cleaners should not matter, but definitely talk to your dealer/tuner
