Belt driven primary

    Gday all...I’m wondering what the hi,s and lows r for having belt driven primary???
    Mine wld b enclosed, I rang up to price one today and I got talked out of it...I need to hear a few more opinions...cheers.

    Pros: 
    can't leak oil 
    Cons:
    Expensive 
    Needs heaps of vents to reduce heat from friction and degradation of belt.
    A lot of work for no real benefit.

    As JohnR said, can’t run them closed in, they overheat and break.
    That’s why you see them in an open framework, absolute pain in the wet.
    Pros, some folks think they're kool or tough.
    Cons, they’re not, they don’t improve performance, they’re expensive, they’re noisier and you won’t feel any seat o the pants improvement.
    Unless you’re building a custom, if you must play, put your hard earned into real performance parts.
