G'day all. Thinking about getting this exhaust for my 2007 Heritage it's around the $2000 mark new so I hope I get a good tax return lol. It is up there price wise but this will be my last bike so might as well enjoy it plus I have always been a fan of Vance & Hines quality, fit, and finish. Also I  have heard a good tuned 2 into 1 can add a couple of horsepower to a bike so that's a bonus but the main thing for me is the sound. What I like about 2 into 1 pipes that around town they give a nice note and not to loud but once out on the open road crank open the throttle and get's a loud deep rumble. Anyway just wondering if any members here run these pipes and if you do are you happy with them cheers.

Heyya Choco.  I have had a couple of the Propipes, and sold them off.  There are better pipes out there for both looks and power.  Have a look at Bassani.  They are a great fit and finish.

i have propipe on my dyna for few years now. They are a very good pipe, underrated infact. They do have a particular look. D & D may have a touch better performance (1 or 2 HP/TQ). only dyno pick that
No torque dip etc. They do hang out a bit at back of bike (like most with big megaphone). No complaints on quality, fit etc

    Hi Choco,
Are you currently running the V & H big shots on your bike? Im thinking of moving to these pipes, I was told that yes on the dyno you can see a dip in performance but in the real world its not so easy to feel +/- 5hp. Do you experience any issues with the big radius.

Im currently running just a slip-on Supertrapp and it apparently is meant to perform OK, its not too noisy.

    choco,
i have had  V & H straight shots, loud (std baffle + torque cones)

V & H Pro-pipe, std baffle, good sound, not crazy loud, acceptable

V & H make a very good pipe, as with all now they arent cheap. I would buy secondhand If you can find one, make sure bracket is sound, hose clamps can be replaced.

There’s a fair amount of info on the net. Look good, sound deep, only negative reports I’ve heard is that they can scrape a bit.

No I got rid of my Evo that had the big shots on btw one of the best sounding aftermarket pipes out there. At the moment on my 2007 Heritage it's got taped turbos mufflers they have been opened up to breath a bit more. Just doing a bit of research on different pipes I do like the 2 into 1 but could easily go back to big shots depending on how much Mr tax man wants to give me back lol.

Yes the more I think about paying 2 grand for a exhaust is starting to leave me cold. I am keeping an eye on the second hand market at the moment I can wait no rush at the moment just trying to enjoy riding my new bike.

Yeah its a lot of money. I just had new cams fitted to mine and just looking around. Im still running the stock headers and SE Nightstick slip on. The sound is ok but Im not 100% on the look of it. The heat shields don't fit as well as they should.

Yep nothing is cheap about owning a motorcycle anymore. I am going to keep a eye open for a good set of second hand pipes whether 2 into 1 or a good set of 2 into 2's that suit the style I want.
