    G'Day All,

My recently purchased 07 Softail has come with no baffles installed which as you can imagine makes me very nervous around the boys in blue.

I have tried to find a baffle to suit but have been unsuccessfull at this stage, the exhaust has a I.D of approx 70mm but the largest baffle I can find is 60mm, anyone point me in the direction of where I can get baffles to suit, have done Ebay etc.

Many moons ago I purchased a set from MCAS in Sydney. Don't know if they still do them though.

Thats what I am looking for but can't find any with the right diameter to fit my pipes. Even on American sites. Closest I can get is around the 60 mm Od which will probably not work unless I pack them out with more matting.

Ok don't use the claw hammer to lever out the fuel pump
Don't grind the tank or fuel lines
Multi tape only good under 110 mph

i have these on my road king
Rush 15301-150 Touring Chrome Series Muffler Slash Down w/1.50" Baffle for Touring 95-09

They measure 90 mm at the pipe, but the quoted baffle is quoted as 1.5"
so check that the stated size is for the pipe.

These were only $299  for the pair and they are great mufflers so maybe go that way. for softail of course

Agree... I had to add a ring of steel to the wide diamter section to ge the fit right.

I assume you know the brand and have contacted the manufacturer.
Also, Might depend on your budget. If you were in SA you’d drop em into Redline Exhaust and Terry would spin up an end piece and perforated baffles to fit, my last set was $180. I’m sure you’d find some custom exhaust shop with similar talents up your way. Simply adding packing around the baffle won’t work, the exhaust entrance and exit must be sealed around the baffle.
If you buy a 60mm baffle like the one pictured by Tussuck wrap a piece of 3 mm flat bar around each end leaving a slight gap to weld it in place all round should take it out to the 67mm you need. Drill and tap both ends and bolt through from the back of the muffler.
Keep in mind that under throttle, the perforated tube style baffle doesn’t drop much volume on large capacity engines like yours.

THATS exactly what I did!  Used the original nut holes though and just used a longer bolt.  Worked mint in the 2-2 Pythons I run..

You have enough info, just thought I'd say the slip on's you have, look like sonic or Outer cycle slash cut. they were made in Victoria. so could look them up. they are very much like Cycle Shack from USA that sadly no longer made. they are good performers too.
