    Hey folks,
New member on here.  Been riding for a long time but picked myself up my first Harley about 3-4 weeks ago, since that's the way my friends were going.  Never been a Harley fan, or had the desire to have one.  First impressions reinforced most of my pre-ownership thoughts - lack of power, not real comfy, sub-par handling, sub-par braking, heavy as, and the only real upsides 1. much less likely to lose my licence due to speeding, 2. can reach the ground way easier than my adventure bikes.

Rode it for a few days and I have to say I absolutely love it!

Bike is a 2009 Fat Bob, stage 2 103 kit, 255 cam, heavy breather, slip ons.  Making a few changes at the moment, can't wait to ride it again after the changes - YSS fork emulators, Wilburs shocks, Saddlemen step up seat, LED headlights, magna flow exhaust, coil relocation and tank lift, bar risers.

Look forward to learning a bit more about these bikes over the next little while on the forum.

    Cheers

    Steve

Oh yeah should be great, I’m well happy with my 2009 110, 255 cam Fatbob, kinda ride it like a diesel, change at 4,500 and the tourque keeps on pulling :)

Yeah, no idea what rpm I’m changing at but riding my ktm 990 adventure today I realised how lazy I was getting with gear changes in the fat bob - Just lugging around everywhere.
    Thanks for the welcome guys

Welcome. Good choice of bike. Your suspension changes will certainly help (I am sure you will choose a good fork oil).

Thanks mate. Yeah I’ve seen the Sputhe kit, thought about it but figured I’d give the upgraded suspension a go first - believe it or not I’m trying not to spend much money on this one!
I wanted a full system vs the current slip ons and not super keen on the look of 2 into 1’s. Picked up the Magna Flow cheap, which is the only reason I jumped that way. I’ll keep an eye out for others that come up used if you’ve got any guidance.
