I guess this is where we leave the porn? Out for a Sunday ride in WA - Toodyay, Northam, lost on some single lane back roads... then back to Perth.  Any of you lowered the arse end of your softails? (Not air suspension)

Yeah nice one. You got a pic? I’m only after around 50-60mm, to sit inline if not a touch lower than the wheel wall.
If by solo you mean solo on the bike, then yes. If by solo you mean so as in rides on my own, then yes also. I’ve only just got the HD and haven’t met any other folks yet.

When I  bought my bike ( 2002 fatboy) it was probably as low as it would go and I liked the look.
After about three days of riding it and  hitting the bump stops on even the slightest of potholes I thought FUCK THIS !
so I  got under the bike  and had a look and started tinkering with the shocks.
I am pretty sure my shocks are stock and they are adjustable. Dont know about the late models but I would be surprised if theyre not adjustable.
The softail system is more complicated than it looks, especially when your lying under the bike trying to fit your melon into a 4 inch gap!
You say you want to lower it by 50 or 60 mm Mitch. That will be way too much but we all got to try stuff once.
I suggest you stick your camera under the bike and try to take some pics of these elusive shockies and post the results.
You will learn other interesting things if you do that.

You reckon air ride suspension would be the better option?

You wont see much if you just have a look. You will need a mirror and a torch etc if you are "looking"
The mobile phone is the go.

I have no knowledge of air suspension.  How did you go with the pics?
