Yeah happy now,  just have to work out the seat issue now.  When the seat gets wet the stitching hold water so even when the seat is dry,  you sit on it and get a wet arse...

All good now,  Dealer tech done a re-tune and no more speed limiter.

Good outcome.... What it actually means is that the Dealer corrected thier fuckup!

I had a Maximus fitted last year to try and reduce decel pop. Didn’t work and zero noticeable performance gains. I’m told that I can’t make a copy of the dongle and if lost or it becomes unreadable, it’ll cost me $450 to replace! I just had my 96’ taken to a 103’ high comp pistons and 583s and retuned. Now I have a massive hesitation when I roll hard on the throttle. I’m extremely under impressed.

High comp Pistons and s&s583 cams are not usually a good combination

Jeeze FB I wasn’t sure why you’d say that till I looked up the specs.
Yeah, inlet closing at 18 degrees sure is early. With high comp pistons too, yikes.  Apart from the poor throttle response mentioned, (try retuning) would that combo run out of puff quite early ?

Outdoor/camping stores usually carry a range of waterproofing compounds designed to be sprayed or rubbed into the stitching on tents. So unless you have a leather seat (if so use Dubbin) try the rub in, do a spot check under the seat to see if there’s any colour change and only rub a small line in directly over the stitching, not entire seat. Also buff off excess in line with the stitching. A lot of the compounds contain silicone, slippery stuff, at your speed you’ll be blown off 😎
