Please help I’m real stuck if anyone knows any mechanics in Melbourne victoria that have a spare exhaust that can do a change over to gain road worthy or someone selling a stock exhaust please let me know thanks every one 

Are the rules that strict down there that it won't pass with aftermarket exhaust ? 

Yeah man I’ve spoken to a couple places some people don’t even want know about it 

I’m sorry for the position you find yourself in mate And if I had some pipes I’d sell them to you. I’m surprised though anyone would come into a forum and ask for help in defeating a roadworthy inspection. Let alone expect or try and ask for details of a mechanic who could “go easy” on the inspection. It’s been well known for years that unless the pipes are absolutely stock, it’s likely that a bike wouldn’t pass muster. (Usually a sound test) Despite it being sold as is registered or promoted by the dealer or seller. Good luck. 

Yeah well I am willing to purchase the exhaust to pass the road worthy it’s just a matter of finding some it’s been difficult every ones given me a different opinion. It’s my first Harley Davidson so I’ve come to get advice from the Harley Davidson world 

If that’s the case memz, I would have thought a quick ring around to Harley dealers or indy’s will find you a set. That bike is about as “standard” a fit as you’ll get. 

I’ve spoke to some they do not have stock other I’m waiting on a reply..

Haha yeah I think it would look a bit out of the ordinary cruising down the hume hwy with a set of pipes strapped to the back of my bike as it's my only transport 

Have you tried Gumtree mate ?

Just to confirm would Softail deluxe fit straight on to a Softail standard ? 

Appreciate the help fellas I recon victoria probably has the strictest road worthy rules going
