Ok I’m probably going to get hammered for this! Ive got an 06 dyna street bob and I’m looking to get the fat bob, wide glide tail fender look. I’ve searched eBay, and numerous Aussie sites with no luck. Could someone who has done this mod or know of point me in the right direction.cheers

What are you gonna do with the full rear fender you have and where are you?

Hey all thanks for reply’s. I’ve checked out everything on easyr but nothing pertaining to the 2006 fxdbi. I just thought if someone on here has done the swap over could they let us know of specific parts. I believe some fat bobs & wide glide rear fenders are slightly wider. I can’t be stuffed ordering a bunch of wrong parts and then having to send them back again. Cheers

Yeah not sure on that one yet, I’ll see how far I get with it first.

    First post. Be gentle… :-)
A riding buddy did go the other way, from Ductail (FXDWG) to Superglide/Street Bob.
You would need the fender with rear light (obviosly), and the FXDWG fender struts since they are longer compared to the ones You have.
He also had to change seat as the Wide glide seat was a bit longer. Do not know if this applies to Your Model year though.
If You are worried about the width of the rear fender, I would suggest You measure the width between your fender struts, or rather the width of the rear subframe contra the width of the new fender.
As for the rear indicators I think the OEM wide glide indicators together with their stalks looks best, but any indicators could be modified to fit.

    Cheers. /Lindberg

i have done the opposite swap, the fxdwg rear gurd is wider in the rear where the guard mounts, so i had to use spacers for my fxdl guard swap.
there was a HD oem kit (59925-06) that is the right width for fxd/c/l/b, so its actually in thinner size to suit that frame width

as other have said i needed new tail light/mounts/bolts, both the rear indicator stems/wiring/bolts, fender struts etcc, in my case i also needed new wiring that sits under the (3m stickypads) rear guard.
