Security light

    Hi all I have a 2017 Fatboy lo S which i recently put LED indicators on the front and since the red security light in my Speedo has started coming on intermittently usually after at least 30mins of highway riding and goes off when I slow or stop. I've also noticed the cruise control will not operate while the light is on
    I've been back through the install and redone all connections Ive also had a load equalizer installed.
    Has anyone else had tjis issue or have any ideas?

    Just check All other lights are working, as sometimes it will come on letting you know a globe is out.  But also led blinkers  dont take much amps to work, so could be telling you there not working,  so prob need get ecm reset at dealer

    Thanks Steamer i will check other lights although headlight and Auxiliary lights are also LED so really only tail lights and rear indicators

    Are the indicators on the back led? You shouldn't need a load equalizer as I installed led at the front on my 18 street glide and all I did was turn the bike on, put the hazards on for like a minute or two then turn off...the ecm learns the pattern...

    I did the same as Shady. Worked perfectly and had zero issues

    Will give this a go myself, have had the same problem since installing rear LED indicators, the load equalizer fixed it when I put the front ones on first up. Pete what error codes are you seeing from the alarm, I am seeing b1006 & b1007, have checked the charging system and battery all readings are as required.

    Hey Benno I'm not sure how to access the fault codes and don't have a Harley dealer nearby.

    So I've found out how to get fault codes out and there was a few
    B2141 left turn open
    B2146 right turn open
    B2262 front brake switch stuck
    U0121 abs communication failure
    U0140 loss of comms with bcm
    U0141 loss if comms with lhcm
    C1021 front wheel sensor reads zero
    C1094 front brake switch always on
    I've cleared them all and next  ride I'll see which ones reappear I  gave just the bike dyno tuned so I'm thinking some of these maybe as a result of that

    When I saw fitted led's to the front I had the same problem, when I pulled the  control's apart I couldn't get the front brake switch to seat properly and the brake light would come on that triggered the security light while riding. Riding during the day I couldn't tell but in the dark it was noticeable, I found when I pushed the front brake lever forward the security light went out. With some adjustment it hasn't happened again.

    A bit similar. On my 16 Heritage I had the engine management light come on when riding, sometimes it would go out after a minute or 2, then maybe come back on. Turns out front brake switch on all the time. Water and crap inside it. This then confuses the computer, as to why the bike is moving and the brake is on all the time. Cleaned the switch and all good.

    So it is the front brake switch I've cleaned the up switch and the plunger but still does it I've tried to adjust it a bit but not much adjustment watched a few you tube advice vids but just can't get it to work right....well at least I know what the problem is might have to take it to the harley shop and see if they can sort it out
