Why do you think you need laser alignment?

Been using string for years, not sure a laser would be useably more accurate.

Why do you think you need laser alignment?

I just did a string alignment by my local shop,
    before alignment:
    my bike lean towards right, fuel tank not pointing straightforward and bit hard to stick to straight line;

    after alignment:
easier to stick to straight line but lean further towards right, fuel tank still not pointing to straightforward.

I don't know what 's wrong with it.

Check the engine alignment mate, not hard to do with a service manual, rear swing arm is attached to the gearbox, engine is rubber mounted, shit can get queer if the mounts are dodgy or the top stabiliser is out of whack for whatever reason.

hi thx for all the ideas.
    Here is the list,

    1. I have a third party fork bracer, it does help handling but could that cause problem?

    2. engine mount: the front rubber looks slightly wore, I will upload a photo later.

    3. fork: I do feel that the front wheel is not perfect vertical to triple tree, but I don't 100% trust my eyes.

    4. could weight distribution a problem? but every Harley is pretty much similar, right? how come some lean some don't? even the same model?

When riding, keep in mind that the camber of roads in Australia will more than likely have tyres wear slightly more on right side.
You might think some roads like freeways are dead flat, but they have very slight camber for water run off

yes I know this. 90% of chance the road is higher on the right and lower on the left. What puzzle me was, at that 10% camber is on the opposite directly where left is higher, the bike doesn't lean to left as same degree as it does to right.

Try and take a few pictures of the bike mate. Stand it up as straight as possible and take a couple of pics front and rear.

I just spent the quality weekend morning, use a tailor tape to measure front and back, left and right of this bike in anyway I can think of. (Sadly), I found measurements are all symmetric, accurate into mm. Forks are at same length, front wheel is vertical to triple tree, etc.

I confess my next try will be, taking the suggestion as seen in every similar thread like this.....put my wallet in my left pocket.

Some other threads suggest the weight distribution is not symmetric. The primary is a big chunk on the left while many aftermarket pipes are lighter. Mine is not symmetric, but only by 1 or 2 degree, but I felt like 10 degrees leaning on the right all the time.

I don't know what to do now. Other than put my wallet in my left pocket really.

#3 .. if u feel the wheel is out of vertical alignment then measure the top of wheel to side of fork on each side ..  i didnt think it could be out due to the spindle .. but thought maybe the forks are twisted.
personally i would do a string check anyway .. do u have a jack stand ?

also .. find someone with a dashcam and get them to follow you while you go for a ride  .. stay centre of road so direct with camera then u can study the footage , im pretty sure we cover this topic not so long ago on here and weights were used to balance the bike better .. just cant remember who it was

Did you check what Grease Monkey suggested?
Maybe you do not have a service manual. If you do not, and plan on keeping the bike, it would be worth getting one.
