I bought a compressor powered vacuum brake bleeding kit about a year or two ago,  but using it on my bikes and my old cars it has been really shit. I only use it for complete fluid changes, not just for general bleeding of air bubbles....
Anyways, what seems to happen is they it sucks quicker than the fluid can come through and therefore it cannot maintain a proper seal and I'm getting what seems like more air coming down the pipe into the bottle than old brake fluid?

Is there another brand, make, model that actually is worth the $100?    Or another method ?  I'm about to do a complete fluid change front end rear on the softail.  1996  EVO  heritage softail

    Cheers.

Another method? if it's only a fluid change on an evo save yourself the money and use the old glass jar and clear tube to bleed.

I had the same problem with mine, Just crack the bleeder enough to start the fluid moving while your topping up or have a buddy topping the resevoir.

Thanks phatty, so what you're essentially saying is use the old gravity bleed method?
Will this still work even though I'm putting brand new dry cables on?

hand pump vacuum bleeder works well plenty of kits on ebay about 25 dollars delivered , have used and work well . just seal the bleeder nipple with thread tape to stop pulling air in at that point putting bubbles in plastic bleeder line.
