Stage III kit or laptop?

    So fellow HDers. If you had enough money available for a laptop or a Stage III kit for a M8 107ci Softail, which one would you waste money on?

    Must be an expensive laptop, it can wait, more torque/hp for me every time.

    I reckon on a computer forum people would recommend the laptop. This isn’t a computer forum

    you'll need the laptop to tune your stage three kit with the supertuner. If you give up drinken , smokin and bad wimmen, you will have plenty of money.

    Laptop any day.  I would use it more than the bike and its only an M8 so do not sink money into it!
    Invest in an Alienware instead.

    If you had a stage 3 i would take it to the pro to dynotune...no more fucking around with it for me.

    Agreed. Only if you have lots of time, patience and knowledge would you tune it yourself. I know the tts has flight recorder mode to record your riding and there’s a particular way you ride to tune most of the ve cells. I assume the screamin eagle tuner has the same capability but it’s not easy and harder yet is tuning ignition timing. A good dyno tune is worth its weight in gold

    Mate I have 3 laptops that still can operate Screamimg Eagle Tuner or my old Thundermax jazz.
    You can have one if needed, is yours. Postage.
    Motorcycles touch the ground, computers dont.
    In saying that everyone one of the guys making comments, here,  are greatly repected. 
    Comes down to you.

    Your supertuner comes with lots of downloaded maps (and updates are automatic), which have been done for specific harley parts/cams/exhausts etc  I have found them very close provided you get the exact match of parts, ( the parts are listed with each map).
    So good luck, get both. 
    If you get stage 3 done by the shop they will put in the correct map at installation.

    In case you didn’t know there’s a fella in Melbourne who sells the screamin eagle tuners used but he’s clears them from being married to the prior bike so they’re like new and you save a bit of coin. You’ll find him on eBay, gumtree and some of the Facebook marketplace pages for Harley parts. He’s legit. Good luck

    Why not compromise and just go stage 2 (cams) and buy a cheaper laptop
