Hi all got my self a deuce it's done 60,000 km, some people have been telling me thingabout it and it's not good they say from 2000 to 2006 the eng was very bad with camchain tensioner just to start with then the compensater was the other big thing, does anyone have any ideas or do I have to get a Honda.

Welcome back ba. I can reset password for bull ant for you if you like. I have an 03 deuce as well. 1450. 115k kms. Only recently did the cc tensioners. Primary chain was ok. Oil gets changed on this one every 5k. Engines are terrific. I don’t think you have much to worry about. Anniversary model is a winner.
Things like am seats are limited due to longer tank though
Get it serviced properly the once and it’ll look after you forever. It’s just a Softtail after all. Post pics.

Wouldn't get to stressed. I bought a 2001 Nightrain with 13000km back in 2012. Rode around for a week then swapped out the cams and upgraded the tensioners along with the oil pump. Compensater still good after all these years. Also change engine and primary oil at 5000km, bike has run like a dream without any problems at all.
