That is a pity Baloffski, I liked to read that magazine too.
Gotta say, have not even been in a "newsagent" shop since this flamin chinavirus hit.
Guess they (MT) are another casualty.
    Uncharted territory ahead.

Glad you raised back issues Tussuck, didn’t think of that. As a regular buyer I was pissed when my local newsagent said they were no longer in print but off your idea I searched Tank Moto and found their site active as ever. Odd because their app Fuel Tank closed down a while back so I thought they’d gone.
Anyway looks like they’re still going so I’ll subscribe, thanks for the idea, I’m a happy lad.
If you’re thinking about a back issue I recommend No 9. considered the Indonesian issue as it covers their creations, there’s some brilliant engineering by the Indo lads, great what you can do when you’re not bogged down by ADR’s.

I think this is a real shame, I used to buy this mag, now apart from AMCN the general motorcycle mags are all gone.  People in Motorcycle Trader like Allen, Rooth and Roff I have been reading their shit for almost four decades.

from what I was told, Same owner of Heavy Duty Mag , but they are doing the Heavy Duty Tours & handed the publishing over to Mick Withers ( long time Australian Bike journalist & rider racer ) Mick said Heavy Duty printed in Australia still, so all you guy & Gals , saying we want to support Australian workers & not buy Chinese made, here is your chance. first issue with Mick tuning it is on the stands now.

    Thanks Krash.
The Motorcycle Trader was my allways mag, that I passed onto people that only dreamed of having a motorcycle.
Anyway, allways bought and still have every copy of Heavy Duty. The tours would be great, but can never afford one now.
Mick Withers, Withers is an old name and rember some of the Withers, NSW though, bush.
Off to grab my Heavy Duty Mag. Keep rerading , paper too if you can get it.

Good point Krash. Buying Australian made starts with opening your wallet and supporting local effort. The fact you will be buying a decent HD-focussed magazine will help too.

Had subsription to Motorcycle trader that finished with the edition with Norton folding on the cover. Rang to renew & they said due to the virus & lack of advertisers support, they couldn't put out a quality mag & opted to fold rather than put out crap. Has been favourite mag for years, so gone to Just bikes. Lesser quality mag in paper, pictures & article, but still a fair read. Digital media has stuffed the old magazines. Will miss Roothy, Spanner, Snag, Guido, Cam, Bourne, Charris, Ben Galli's photography & the rest of the crew. Sure they will turn up elsewear. Wrote like real people, experience & humour showed.

Thanks JFE , I read the Heavy Duty & quality is high , only problem I have always had with Heavy Duty , is the put too much or should I say too many, stories about events in USA & too many feature bikes built in USA. that's ok, but I like to read up to date news about, Australia.
then this past Saturday I got out on the Old Sporty , and headed to FUEL East Lynne , I've got to know the new owner ( nice people! ) the coffee is good, the Pies are good, & it's like a mens cave of Clasic , Historic Motor Cycles, & always motor Cycles showing up, be it out of the bush dirt bikes or off showroom floor Indian FTR , or a rare Ducati  & a heap of other bikes all ridden in for a look a pie or a coffee. Or blow me a feed of fresh Shucked Local Rock Oysters!! they were beautiful . was live entertainment.
Back to Australian bike magazines, the owner came showed me a new Live to Ride magazine , it had a story and about four or five pages on an Even that was at FUEL East Lynne , after the bush fires that almost took the place out ( that was before the virus ) he threw this fantastic event ( Bikes Classic Cars Hot Rods, Choppers, MX races & display & Trials exhibitions . Entertainment all for a small donation to the local Bush Fire Fighters that had to fight so hard to save the place.
it was all word of mouth no advertising and it was huge, made a good donation to the local Fireyes. & Live to Ride Aussie Bike mag was on the spot to take picks & write a story. it is probably in next edition of Live to Ride as they showed it to me but said only mag they had . so now I'm going to subscribe to Live To Ride.

So if any of you are on the road riding, or even just traveling on the Princess Highway about 15 or so k north of Batemans Bay & About 30k south of Ulladulla or about 15 or so K north of Kings Highway round about. keep you eye out, it is on your left traveling north from Kings Highway or Batemans Bay, or on your right traveling south from Ulladulla. Keep your eye out as if you blink you will miss it, but if you pull in, you will be amazed!!! well worth the trip down from the NT!!!!
