need some maintenance (oils, filter) and pink slip done for my 2011 FXDC. Feeling a bit robbed by the rates Frasers or HH charge. Anyone know an independent shop near alexandria ti get the bike some TLC?? (I know - I can do the oils myself - but need the pink slip and am happy to spread some cash around in these times - just not too much..)

Harleys are no different to other MC's , for a pink slip, so just find a place that does , MC pink slips. 

Find a motorcycle wrecker / mechanic that does pink slip while you wait , usually a sign out the front stating that

We don't have this "pink slip" requirement in SA. Do you need to get one every year? How much is "expensive" for a full service if you're only getting one every 5 to 8k?

Don't know any in Alexandra, but I have used these (and trust them):
