What are you going to do to your Harley Davidson during the Easter period?

    OK!
The Virus is upon us over the Easter period, and for a long time to come, so out of interest, plus, there may be something you should be doing but forgot.
What task or tasks are you going to undertake on your Harley, if you can't ride at the present?

Kicking this off, I will be starting out, complete service, changing all fluids, checking everything I can find listed, plus using that brand new unused tension wrench bought 2 years ago. Won't post a jpeg, as all it will be, is oil all over the garage floor with dog footprints trailing off somewhere.
Next, task will be to install an aux. power outlet somewhere on the rear of my bike. Can't ride but at least may be able to do something with your motorcycle.
    Keep safe, and sane.

I’m less energetic than you baloffski. Hat’s off to you for having parts and fluids ready too. I might kick the tyres and depending on how they feel I might put some air in.
Riding an old evo that vibrates a bit I find myself tightening (and loctiting) bolts regularly anyway because if I didn’t, parts would literally be flying off as I rode. Handlebar risers became loose recently and whilst they weren’t loose enough to be unsafe, it felt unsafe when I realised my handlebars were moving.

Swap out the Ikons on the rear for the OEM shocks so I can rebuild the Ikons at some stage in the next few weeks (god its good to have a spare set lying around)
I'll post another thread somewhere asking who has done this before cause I a'nt got a clue...lol

Been collecting all the parts I need so over Easter I'll be changing all fluids and a full frontend rebuild from steering head bearings down to forkseals and changing back to my old sixteen apes. Then a OCD clean and detail. Just have to service the wife's car first as it's running like a bag of s&%t.

New version oil pump just came in, so pulled cam chest down yesterday in preparation for cam and oil pump change. Just awaiting cam bearing removal/ install tool to swap cam bearing.  No rush obviously,  thinking about changing our fork oil and checking steering head bearings. 2017 SGS, gone with the torque cam from HD.

Cleaned it, threw on the cover, attached the tender and will leave it till September. Ok, maybe start it a few times. In the mean time maybe build my basket case 70 Bonnie or maybe just sit by the fire drinking stout.

Go for a ride why don’t you...apparently it’s passive exercise which is allowed.

I will be out for a number of the approved purposes. Where possible it will be on the bike.
Plus I will be researching ways to fix my scratched up saddlebag. Got to remember to latch the damn things properly when I put them on.

Rode home Thursday night, police everywhere, Easter .. of course, I got done like a dinner. Travel 140 km to work and 140 km back home on this highway thousands of times, new where they hid, wanting to get home, is called being a dick head. Few Kms over the limit, they put it down 3 km so didn't lose licence for 3 months. got the 3 points and 330 smackers.
Victoria has just announced there going to keep lockdown for another 4 weeks. In that case, I need to sneak a nice quiet ride now, not stopping of course, as this is important for my health, I shouldn't get shot- yet.

That’s pretty shite Mick. I read someone’s suggestion somewhere if you wanna go for a ride or something else with a valid excuse, to carry a prescription with you and then you can say you’re riding to a particular chemist to get it filled. Might pay to research if/where chemists are relative to where you’re doing stuff
Bit confusing with different states having different isolation rules. Can’t go to the beach on much of if not all of the east coast but Nat Fyfe of the freo dockers can go for a surf in wa without sanction.

I’m just sitting in the shed staring at ‘em.
My mum is 87 and lives 40 kms away so I was thinking I will use that as an excuse.
The wife has me repainting the lounge room. Fucking Chinese, I blame them .

Fucking Chinese alright. If your saw 60 minutes last week and then four corners during the week (repeated last night) your blood would boil. Worth watching both and I imagine they’d be available on the 9 and abc websites. If not, YouTube

The full service, transmission and air filter etc, was going to change back to 2-1 after my defect a few weeks ago but the fucken gaskets didn’t arrive on time. There’s something to be said about a freshly oiled air filter glistening in the sun so I snapped a pic for ya’s.

Here’s another from happier, simpler times about 5-6 weeks ago in Tenterfield when we all thought Corona was just a joke.

Thankfully I’m one of the lucky buggers who is still in a job right now so I have an excuse to ride everyday.
