    Hi All,
Where would be the best place to get a workshop manual for my 2014 Street Bob.
I would rather paper form  than electronic.
Is the Harley manual the best or is there others that will do.

Also once i have this manual would i be best to do my own servicing.
Im mechanically inclined and have worked on all my cars since i was a kid.
I just done have a lot of experience with working on Bikes.

    Thanks

    Daniel

Hi, get the Harley Davidson workshop service manual.
And yes if you are confident by all means it is a good thing to do your own general servicing. That way at least you know things get done that are supposed to in the servicing department.
Either buy a new one(manual) from your local dealer or look in the usual online places.

Good on ya Daniel, your on the right track - a service manual (and parts manual) are the first 'tools' you should buy for working on your bike.
I have paper manuals & parts lists plus electronic copies that are good sometimes to bring a page up on my phone or PC.

yeah, i got my first service done at a harley dealership, was 24k service.
Then a few weeks later i changed from mids to forwards and drained the primary oil.
It was black and didnt seem right by me shortly after a service.

I rang the dealership and they said they didnt do the primary and didnt have an answer why.

So i dont really trust them anymore.

I would not bother with the parts manual, there are places online like THIS where you can track down the part numbers you are after.

just got told from my sort of local Harley dealership, $201 for the service manual.
I dont know if i can justify that.
I know i would make it up in servicing the bike myself.

Dont know if it would cost me that to print the online one out.

Actually would be cheaper for me to buy a new tablet and use it with the online manual.

They’re dreaming. Usually about $100 at aus dealers. Here’s one on amazon that posts to Aus and it’s 53 usd

    Yes they’re worthwhile. Absolutely

    Haha funny clip and song!
I thought I might get one for my dyna too which is a 2017. Stumbled across a 2014 dyna manual on gumtree for $60 in Albany. Search for: Harley dyna workshop manual

I bought my workshop manual online (CD) for about $12 and had it professionally printed and bound for $50.
