Hey guys, there is a weld seam down the front of my night train tank that is hidden by a plastic bib. Can i grind it flat or is it there for structural reasons?

do u have a pic mate ? .. do u have a reason for flushing it ? .. it would be machine welded and most likely penetrated the thickness of the steel depending on the process ordinarily i would say you could flush it without to many problems but i have known flushed welds to be the cause of cracks : )
