GDay  - I'm Al. I have an 06 Superglide FXDI
Great bike - i still cant decide which bars im gonna run with... im thinking the 8" apes.

I also need to redo the tank - it has a dent in the RHS. Still deciding on colours. Im leaning towards billiard blue or gold wings like an 85 FXWG

    Cheers, Al

Good on ya for posting photo's , looks very original and clean as. Almost looks like she just came out of the Harley shop. I bought 2006 Fatboy, that was a nice year.
That Triumph doesn't look to shabby either.
Sold them at the motorcycle shop I worked in during the early 70's, loved the look and the note.

Cheers fellas - I like the fact that everything looks basically stock too. However they are Khromewerks slip-ons so sound great and perfrom a bit better than stock. Plus the S&S air cleaner is pretty classic.
Although im a big fan on keeping everything original i think when i repaint the tank ill prob change over to badges rather than stickers. I like the look of V&H long shots but cant justify the cost at this stage. Bike goes and sounds good as is. But that dent has to go.

My 70 T120R ( bought from Black Franks in Brunswick ) had a matching painted front guard . Darker red. ( burgundy ) with silver and gold striping. Vic Bogner ? did a repaint for me one time.
Great bike except for the petrol cocks snapping off until I went to brass ones. A small plug dropping out of the front rev spindle box, rear speedo spindle shitting itself and the Lucas King of Darkness faults. Had the engine Allen bolted . Apart from the little annoyances loved riding that bike .

I bought an aftermarket Japanese (non-lucas) wiring harness which has not had a problem. Charging system works well too.

Yeah I love the 69 paint and instruments. Your paintwork is bloody sensational.
I sold my 69 a few years back when we moved house, missing it so much I’ve just bought a 70 basket case, literally sitting in several boxes. While I was contemplating going a full 100 point concours restoration, I do like your idea of the 750 Aerco barrels. Cheers

Good on ya Gidgi, tidy machine and great riding.
I never understood why the oil in frame models weren’t as popular and having owned one in the day I reckon it’s just like today and in the past with Harley’s changes, owners of each model generation criticise the next.
Good to see a Brit tank too, great styling.

Thanks for this Sinny! I've got an 04 Super Glide, so your pics have just been like doin a bit of window shopping to see what different bars would look like and I get to see if anything tickles my fancy. I've been running westerns for years on a 4" riser, partly out of being a little lazy when it came to changing them and they were comfy. But just recently changed to 32" Drag bars and put a headlight fairing on it as well. But I've always loved how versatile the 04-06 Super Glides are with their looks.
