Hi, I need another years comprehensive insurance on my flhcs.
QBE want $700.
I haven’t had so much as a parking ticket in over 25 years,(touch wood), and never had a claim of any description....ever.
What are you guys paying, and with who?
Any correspondence appreciated.

Been using Shannons for a few years.
Talk to the nice young girl on the phone. Mention your 'advanced' age (I assume you're not 18 years old), existing max no-claim bonus, no accidents, no speeding fines, you garage it in a 'good' suburb, it has an alarm/immobiliser, it's not a work bike, not your daily commute, just ride it some weekends (once a month).
Then be realistic about agreed value - you'll get a good deal.
Having said all that, I've never made a claim - so I guess that's the real test of an insurance company.

I'm with NRMA. Costing me $46.61 per month for my '19 Sport Glide.

AAMI here after being with YOUi (who lowballed me year one and then prices just went upwards bloody fast).
$300 a year for comprehensive on an 09 883 with leathers and helmet included + agreed value (ie I bumped up the sum insured as a write-off using their value estimate would leave me needing to bridge too large a gap for a replacement bike)

does your local harley dealership do insurance ? .. i got both my bikes insured for under $1000 with harley after buying 2 new bikes from them .. the sportglide and the new ultra limited .. i think they may use QBE (but i got a private quote from them and they were much higher ) so its worth talking to your dealer .
i also got a good quote from FAMOUS insurance and they were the lowest of them all after ringing around for days and also doing online quotes .. in the end i just thought i would ask the harley dealer an i was amazed at how competative they were able to be . give them a look mate u have nothing to loose : )

Thanks guys.
I reckon that they’re asking too much.
