don't buy shares, in general, for maybe weeks, if not months.

there will always be shares to buy, but they'll take time to find.
cutting 25 basis points won't do anything for the economy, and reserve bank only have 2 more @ 25 basis points in their pocket.
you can make $$$$ in the share market and you can lose $$$$ aswell.
you need to spend time in research, annoucements, volumes etc etc
    just my 2c's worth

Agree Ralphy, surprised no share tips been touted on this thread ? 'Todays the day to buy' apparently toilet paper a good investment and in demand.

Keith i am sure that your aware only a licenced financial advisor can legally give you a "tip" so perhaps that's why you haven't seen any. But as an aside if your looking to invest i am currently looking to buy an island and happy to look at investors.....lol

Read in the paper today that fast food stocks were worth looking into as now as when ppl are hoarding food, they are more likely to want to eat take-away.
FFS, in a few months maybe take your $$ out of that and put it into companies that make heart valves and stuff used for the obese.

    This country has some problems!

Even he has been smashed around these last few weeks, he lost $1 BILLION in recent times. Don't forget these are only paper losses unless you need to sell to stay liquid for loan or repayment purposes only. Don't look at your super account at the moment...

Ha Ha sane people don't stockpile toilet rolls or sell shares during a correction. Seems like sanity has escaped humanity in the world recently. A sane person would realise that the losses incurred at the moment are "paper losses"....you've lost nothing unless you sell at a reduced price. The people who will suffer mentally and financially are the people who have geared their istock investments and borrowed heavily to purchase those same stocks that are now very reduced to what they owe. The old saying "be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful" should ring loud in investors ears.
