At this stage Qld is the only state to have the borders still open....one theory is that its allow the complete NRL comp to relocate to a mining village up North. All games can then be played in the same state and the QLD gov gets a little lick of the giant revenue.  Just a rumour...

Qld borders soon to be shut.
As a QLD’er in enemy territory a piece of me has died and I’m entering ‘trapped like a rat’ mode.

Time to hoard grog and sharpen the wood axe and pitchfork. Shit has gotten real.
I hope the NRL can find a way to keep going.

No footy to look forward to each week is a real loss. Whatever the code.
Especially after a non event of a cricket season.
    Where will it all end?.

    Sad News, hard times.
Also, was a report 3,000 Australian's stuck on cruise ship's with just about every port in world closed. wish I could help them! Also wondering if the ships country or Origin would be open to them?

Pissed about the NRL suspending the game. It was the one thing a lot of ppl had to look forward to in weeks ahead.
What’s especially poor is the southern based media and flogs like Dave Hughes that had their knickers in a knot about the AFL suspending but not the NRL. Most of the comments today railing against the NRL were disgruntled AFL fans and fools that wouldn’t watch it anyway.

They can all get stuffed and enjoy shitting on gum leaves. Leave some for the Koala’s ya selfish pricks.

so what's in's & out's of each one of our states closing there Boarder's? like will they have a road block on each boarder ( internal ) or just coastline & airports?

Blokes I think anyone taking a cruise in the last couple of months is a muppet. But they are Aussies and the passport has to mean something, or we are no better than the communist pricks running China that caused all this. We have to help.
And btw - there are more passport holders in our region that could very well put their hand up when they realise that the (formerly) lovely little country they are visiting in/live has gone up due to the China Virus. That crowd will make the ‘cruise set’ look like nothing.

Can we talk about footy here now?

I’ve just moved to Germany late last year and watching some of us Aussies panic buying and going stupid is sad to watch on TV. What happened to us? What happened to the Australian spirit? What happened to the Australian way? It seems lost to me.  Or is it just the Murdoch press pumping the masses into hysteria?  I must say it is much more civilised in Germany. No panic buying for starters. I can buy 1000 rolls of arse wipe from my local Aldis no sweat. Doesn’t appear to be any selfish behaviour going on. Quite the contrary.  And we got it bad here at the moment.

Your right it is a footy topic and we do have a Corona topic to continue if we want to add to that conversation.

Plenty of players paid too much for what they deliver. Cows, Broncs, Titans, Dogs all have a couple of those!

Absolutely ! The old mates and buddys act has been going for a long time now. This also shows how fragile the business model of pro sport really is in Australia regardless of the huge amounts of $ it generates. You take v8 supercars they have had the same no race/game scenario and they have just parked their teams up and not put their hand out for public money.

Don't think so if we restart the season but if we skip the season ....yes. He ain't the flavour of NRL  head office after saying the game should be called off.
