So seems our indo boys have been a touch naughty during social distancing rules

Quoting -kiwi- on 27 Apr 2020 08:21 AM

    The crime is.... getting caught

Hmm, I wonder how they are getting caught? Could it be by videoing then posting every stupid thing they do?

This is what society has now produced, not just footy-ballers but in general.
It's all about searching for approval, chasing the 'likes', it can outweigh the risk of a penalty.
Yeah, sure, us old school guys all looked for belonging by doing exactly the same shit when growing up - but now it has become an addiction with the instant gratification of showing off online & getting the 'like'.

Well the Cowboys have ‘permission’ to stay home in Townsville to train and the play home games . Presumably the opposition flies in and out same day for the game. Works for me as spreads the travel pain.
    Go Cowboys!

They run flat out into each other for eighty minutes and then shower together afterwards, that's not exactly going to attract Rhode scholars to the profession.

Yep and if they're really lucky they can get rich and famous doing it. These morons now aspire to be "influencers" in part because of the mainstream media's obsession with shoving the fucking Kardashians and numerous other entitled freeloaders down our throats.

So the new Tina Turner ad has been pulled due to the star Latrell fucking up and causing a red face for the league return. Maybe they should give him the bill for the cost as a reminder. His co accused Josh Ado Carr got nabbed for speeding after being fined for social distancing offenses and then was met by cops when he got home and served a summons to appear on firearms charges....sucks to be a social media poster and influencer

So we wonder why our game is turning to shit because of poor financial and questionable decisions...here is a direct quote from the current NSW coach and Lebenon international coach about Latrell and Ado Carr
"B.F: “I don’t think what they did was, I don’t think it put lives at risk really. Given the numbers and all that if you’re sitting down and the reality of what they actually did, I don’t think it put lives at risk. But I do think as unbelievably stupid and what they didn’t realise was they could be the face of a game losing $200 million.

If we want to be a professional sport we desperately need to quit some of these "Former legends" of the game and run the NRL professionally

And again from big Mal..."Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga has confirmed Latrell Mitchell and Josh Addo-Carr were out late the night before Australia’s shock loss to Tonga last season. Meninga also poured cold water on suggestions that criticism of the pair is racially motivated. ‘‘It’s not about racism, it’s about doing the right thing and doing the wrong thing,’’ Meninga said.

‘‘This is not a personal attack. It’s about not making poor decisions. What they did was about jeopardizing the future of the game, given the delicate situation the game is currently in

Had a laugh about this. Couldn’t have said it better.....
I once heard an idiot try to use the expression about Rhode scholar but he said rogue scholar. Maybe more accurate to call the bum sniffers that

I haven’t got any issues with what Meninga said PB. But since they were beaten and were on the drink the night before I think their positions should have been made vacant.
Fittler on the other hand, well he wants his origin players available. Think he’d say the same about Qld reps? Self-interest is what that’s all about.

These imbeciles constantly amaze me. The obsession with social media has always puzzled me, but that might be an age thing. The bigger problem is riding unregistered bikes on the beach & shooting guns unlicensed. Fucking idiots should be sent to play park footy for the year.

I'm no rogue scholar but can't really see anything wrong with shooting a gun if you have no license, you never even needed one in the good old days.
Or riding an unregistered bike on a beach. Only time I ever rode a registered bike on a beach I got hit by a wave drunk in the dark. Don't see what difference rego would have made.
They were the days, probably still played rugby then too.

Your absolutely 100% correct there is really nothing wrong with the above except we have allowed overpaid pen pushers to slowly erode our old values. The do gooders are more vocal than the "fuck you" brigade and next thing something you have done successfully all your life is no longer safe to do so.
The other difference was when we knowingly were breaking the law we never filmed it and played it at the drive in!
