G'day all. Just a quick question. I am just curious how many Evo owners are on this site. I own a 93 Heritage and say it will be my last Harley had her six years now and still happy with my bike and with myself going onto 60 years old it should see my riding days out. Btw these are older photos of my bike it has changed a bit over the years. Top photo was taken just over a year ago at Imbil motorcycle rally held at the Imbil caravan park I stayed there in a on site van named love bug lol. Bottom photo when I first got my bike 6 years ago. As you can see the white wall tyres are gone, eight inch Tbars fitted instead of the western bars and driving lights removed cheers.

Well done Choco. Don’t worry about the age thing. Spook is still riding and he’s older than Kirk Douglas. There’s not going to be too many reasons to upgrade if you look after that girl. Must confess I like the classic whitewalls and driving lights etc. you’ve gone from a gentlemen’s bike to a lads bike. Post more pics. Cheers.

'96 Evo here, still plenty of parts around when you know where look.
If your bike does everything you want from it & you maintain it well then it should be a keeper.

Oh not that spook is a hundred years old, heard that was a given,  but she is a lovely looking bike spesh with the white walls and aux lights, and that blue does meld .
    Lovely bike choco.

I've got a 1989 softail springer. Runs like a Swiss watch and has more charisma in sight and sound than any modern Harley. I might move it on one day depending on a few things but she's pretty sweet and does everything I need her to

Have two running, 1 non runner at the moment.
The 93 with EV3 and geared low, awesome on the highway.

The 85 with higher comp, EV46, ignition, 2 into 1 exhaust. This now pulls on stage 1 96ci Dynas

Once you sort out the known issues (base gaskets, cam bearing etc), the Evo will take you round the clock easily before any major overhaul.
Evo motor saved HD from going under.

Hey, How do you find the EV46?  I'm boring with an EV3 but the heads are all worked for a higher lift.

Looks like plenty of Evo lovers Choc, I have a TC currently, am in the market for a stable mate for the Wide Glide. Recently went into the local dealer to consider a new low rider. Was unimpressed with what I saw, reckon I will find myself a late 90’s Evo to add to the stable, know quite a few guys buying shovels lately and loving the experience, all Twinky owners too.

It rips up top, and works well with the higher compression.
If you don't like revving the bike put Id avoid it though.

Cheers, I'll stick with the EV3 then  I'm not into high rpm on the old girl as it mainly two up cruising.

Sorry for posting pics and video in separate posts but having odd issues today.

Video not great but shows the cold idle noise of the old evo at start up with twin cam idle in the background.

I would have liked an old shovel head but wanted the reliability and minimal maintenance requirement that the evo has over the shovel. And the evo sounds almost as good as the shovel.

Plenty of the old girls running around.  I have a 91 Custom and 99 Heritage.  As an aside mate, I stayed in that same caravan a few years ago so I hoped you turned that mattress over.................

Always wanted to own a Springer. If I ever win enough money who knows I might get one.
